22nd Week in 2022 Review

www.ourmepower.com

It’s the 22nd week of the year, and I am reviewing my goals to refine what is working and remove what is not working.

At the beginning of the year, I had a list of seven “every” day, week, or month activities, including:

  1. Write 22 minutes every day

  2. Physical activity or stretching for at least 22 minutes every day

  3. Read The Daily Stoic every day

  4. Deliberately speak Dave’s love language at least once a day

  5. Deliberately speak my love language to MY SELF every day

  6. Read Claim Your Worth every week

  7. Block a “sabbatical” every seven weeks and take one weekend away

My health episode after getting COVID-19 threw a lot of these out of whack. But now I am back to all seven of my “every’s.”

I’ve completed a few things on my list, and I am currently working on these three:

  • Read 22 books and update on Goodreads with reviews for each book

  • Launch lanysha.com by July 1st (it’s live now, but needs improvement)

  • Lose 15 pounds by July 1st

  • Complete revisions on time and publish Me Power in September 2022

I’ve read 12 books this year, so only 10 more to go! I’m inching closer to my weight loss goals, and the book is coming together more and more each day.

Me Power Book Updates

One of my BlackLinkedIn co-founders, Martin Pratt, leads the #TeamNoSubtitle movement. I’ve tested Me Power and Empower is Me Power in polls on LinkedIn and FB groups, and the survey says Me Power wins. None of the subtitle options are working, so I am more likely to forego the subtitle these days.

I’ve been wrestling with the Introduction and Conclusion over the last couple of weeks. I must sheepishly admit that I am a bit behind schedule with getting a few more revisions done for my next set of chapters, but I am hoping to catch up this weekend.

I shared my introduction with a stranger on Twitter. His feedback blew me away! Now, I am friends with author and novelist, Stefan Tomasi. Although the introduction is still a work in progress, Stefan’s critical and positive feedback has encouraged me to share it with you. It’s in Google Docs so you can make comments and provide suggestions, and even see me working on it.

READ ME POWER INTRO

Today, my MRE asked, “What’s the ETA on these chapters?” I replied, “My GPS is still calibrating,” and laughed. We’ve set up mini-deadlines for the revising dance we’re doing. The final deadline is July 1st, and I’m hitting for that 🎯 NO MATTER WHAT.

Three ⚡️ in 31 Seconds

⚡️ You can tap into Me Power because it is an energy source. Your Me Power supply will keep you energized, driven, and motivated to achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. You can take control of your life using this force within you.

⚡️ Who's on your personal board of directors?

⚡️ A year ago, I was in a different emotional state, preparing to attend my grandfather’s funeral. I thought about him, the time we spent together, and all the ways I honor his memory today. I am fortunate to have known him and will forever be his granddaughter.
