I was nervous about the book launch party on Saturday, November 5th.
Ten people who had RSVP’d had to drop off the list because of COVID or some other illness, and I was worried that there might not be enough people for the party.
My rationale inner voice reminded me while you should always take an RSVP seriously and plan accordingly, don’t sweat it if someone drops off the guest list at the last minute—it happens all the time!
When one or two drop, sure, but TEN?
According to a recent survey of 2,000 adults in the U.S., only two percent of respondents said they would RSVP “no” if invited to an event at which they were not sure they could attend. In fact, in the survey, 21 percent said they would RSVP “yes” even if they knew deep down that they would not be able to make it—the main reason cited for doing so was not to hurt the host’s feelings.
After expressing concerns about hosting a VERY casual and VERY intimate event, a few friends noted that it would be amazing no matter how many folks were there. Those who were meant to be there would make the event spectacular.
In the end, the party was a tremendous success! I forgot to factor in the folks who did not RSVP via the link on my website but who emailed and/or texted that they would attend. There were plenty of people in attendance – close to 45 – and everyone seemed to have a great time.
My book launch party was filled with love and support from everyone who attended (and those who couldn't make it). It felt like such a full-circle moment for me to have completed this project and marked it this way, with everyone celebrating with me! My heart is so full of gratitude that you were all able to be there to witness this special milestone in my life! I'm grateful for each and every person who has helped me along this journey—it's all because of you that I can finally say with pride: here it is…ME POWER.

⚡️Self-love is the foundation of everything.
⚡️ The first principle of Me Power is Embrace Your Barriers. While obstacles are sometimes seen as roadblocks impossible to hurdle, they are often the very thing one needs in order to move forward toward a goal. Barriers cause us to think outside the box, expand our knowledge, and embrace discomfort. These actions are all associated with Motivated Energy, the process of looking at barriers as an opportunity instead of an obstacle. Embracing the hardships on the route to success is the key to using Motivated Energy, helping one stop internalizing barriers and begin to view them as an opportunity to excel.
I am sooooo Proud of YOU!! And I am Honored that you felt my Heart, and allowed me story to be a part of this Mind-Changing Book, entitled, "Me Power!!!!!"
