Three years ago, I died.
And then—I came back.
That experience reshaped everything. Not just my health. Not just my pace. It transformed how I measure life.
Before 2022, I measured life by achievement: deadlines met, goals crushed, boxes checked. I ran on adrenaline, ambition, and the quiet pressure to always be “on.”
But when your heart literally stops, your life does too. And when it starts again, so do your questions.
What really counts?
What’s worth my energy?
What matters now?
Since then, I’ve been measuring my life differently. Not by how fast I move, but by how present I am. Not by what I achieve in public, but by how I live in private.
Today—my birthday—I woke up with gratitude. I took my meds. I ate some fruit. I sipped coffee beside Dave, my husband, in the rarest kind of quiet—the kind that feels like home. The kids were at school. The house was still.
And in that stillness, I felt rich beyond measure.
We left the house for lunch, walked slowly through town, browsed stores without a plan. I picked out clothes for the boys.
Dave surprised me with something unexpected: my first stone paper journal. Smooth. Waterproof. No bleaches or acids. Nearly impossible to tear. Made from stone, not trees. 100% biodegradable, depending on the binding agent.
There’s something poetic about that.
Because some of us live like stone paper—scarred, but unbreakable. Soft to the touch, but shaped by pressure. Durable enough to carry the truth.
This is Me Power in motion.
Not the hustle.
Not the highlight reel.
But the choice to live with clarity.
To write your story with intention.
To honor the now, deeply.
