My Birthday Gift to You

www.ourmepower.com

What is the significance of the date, 3-31? Well, my birthday is a reminder of how much more I have to experience and how many more times I get to say, “I love you.”

It is one of the greatest gifts and opportunities for me to reflect on what I have done and what I want to do with the rest of my life.

I am happy for every day that I am alive and able to be a part of it.

At the end of 2021, I designed The 3-31 (Our) Me Power to:

  1. go out three times a month on the third day of the week,

  2. highlight the day I arrived on planet earth (3-31), and

  3. share three inspirational jolts⚡️you can read in 31 seconds.

My birthday celebrations include:

  • Recording the audiobook version of Me Power in the studio for two hours

  • Eating a delicious low-carb lunch at one of my favorite chains, Cava or Nando’s

  • Attending a lecture (“FLIPPING THE NARRATIVE: Historical Collections as Sites of Cultural Diplomacy”) at The Phillips Collection (America’s first modern art museum and one of my favorites). The W. Wanambi Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Jilda Andrews will also be live-streamed on the Kluge-Ruhe YouTube Channel at 1 PM EST

  • Receiving my first golf lesson

  • Attending a golf networking event, co-hosted by the DC Black MBA Association and Northern Virginia Black MBA Association

  • Dinner with Dave, Davidson, and Donovan (my three D’s) at home

  • Hanging out in Atlantic City for a week with my three D’s

I am grateful for you, dear reader, and to all the people in my life who shaped who I am today.

Will you share my gift to you with someone else? Just send them the following link.

Three ⚡️ in 31 Seconds

⚡️ Who’s joining today’s talk at 12 PM EST? It’s a power panel with some awesome women, where we will examine the true meaning of empowerment and identify the importance of having a Me Power Mindset in order to optimize well-being and performance in both personal and professional settings. The Me Power Mindset is made up of five principles and practices: 1) Embrace Your Barries, 2) Focus on Your Strengths, 3) Speak for Your Life, 4) Choose Your Guide(s), and 5) Ritualize Your Reflection. RSVP: https://lu.ma/mepowermarch

⚡️Me Power is an energetic force that comes from within. We cannot wait on other people to give it to us; instead, we create it and control its flow by the way we think, act, and interact with the world around us.

Knowledge of Self + Principled Action = Me Power

⚡️Join me at The Prosp(a)rity Project’s 3rd Annual 35*2 Free Financial Empowerment Conference. Grab your tickets here.
